A lamp from Wagon Wheel Furniture House in Long Island NY, has been lighting our writing desk for over 50 years. Every time I take a look at ths lamp, and other maple tree furnitures, it reminds me of my lovely life with Grand-pa and Grand-ma, who ran the store.

琵琶湖は山に囲われており、何億年と言う単位でその山々の間を右往左往したから、今琵琶湖の周りは北部を除いてほぼ全域に平地があるそうな。外周にある山の方へ行ってみると、農業を潤す貯水池がチラホラ。その一つに遊びに行くと、予想通りの訪問者ゼロ、と言いたいところだが、釣り人が1人いらっしゃってた。なんとも癒しな風景♡ 結構居心地の良い避暑／コロナ地だ。

Biwa Lake is surrounded by mountains, and in between those mountains the lake had changed its location little by little. When you reach out to the mountains, there are reservoirs here and there and visited one of them. As I imagined, there was absolutely no one except one gentlemen was fishing. How is a relaxing summer and COVID getaway place it is.

それぞれの時代に、それぞれの事件、事故、災害があり、人はそのたびに驚き嘆き、勉強する。　そうして次に向かって、また歩き出す。
何かを作り出そうとして提案する者が居て、それに対立する人も居る。　対立はいけないことではなく、むしろブレーキ約なのだから、必要なことはわかってる。　車の免許を取るときに、先生というのか、講義をいただくとき必ず言われる、「ダロウ運転はダメ！」と同じ事だが、何かを決める時、これはおきないだろう、いらないだろう、と思う前に、起きた場合、居る場合、という仮説をつくり、その場合の対応策を作っておくことぐらい、何の損にもならないと思う。
今回の自然災害×愚断からくる犠牲はあまりにも多く・大きい。　我々は、これをきちっと分析し、社会の再構築に役立てないようであれば、世界から見て、経済的に、政治的に、社会的沈没は免れない。

There are crimes, accidents and variety of tragedies happening around the globe in each era. Human beings, each time, learns the lesson for new and better livings.
Opinion always encounters opposition, which is essential for safer, or better discussion and/or solutions. When we first learn driving lesson at driving schools, we all are told "not to bet while driving, but predict pedestrians suddenly appearing or incidents will happen", always be prepared so there will be less chance accidents occur.
The Great Quake and ignorant decisions has given us a very harsh lesson. If we do not take these lessons seriously and precisely into the coming political, economical, and social decisions and strategies, We will sink our self into the sea of criticism.

存在 Existence

都心の一等地を貫く国道をちょいと入った谷間。奥の民家はずいぶん細長く、長屋の雰囲気をかもしているが、手前の針線とコンクリに立つ鉄の杭の錆の深さ…。街が村だったことを創造させる。
An old house down in a place where used to be a ravine looks like it has been standing there for quite a life so as the spiked wire stripped on a concrete wall. There are things that stays, and tells.

中学の頃、おふくろが車の中で「ニューヨークの人間ヲッチは面白い」と言っていたが、今思えばファッションの事を言っていたのだろうな。僕は当時、変な奴ばかり居て奇妙だし怖い、としか思っていなかった。１９８０年代の話です♬
Long time ago, I remember when I was in a car with my mom, she said "people watch in New York is fun!".  I suppose she was talking about fashion, but I could only think people back than was weird and scary.  It was in the good old 80's♬
