ある神社の境内で、お御籤がたくさん結んであった。　正月に比べれば少ないのかもしれないが、量的には結構なもの。　運はコントロールできないが、運にめぐり合う努力はできる。　その道しるべが、お御籤なのかなぁ？と思ったりして。

At a temple, fortune slip is tied on a string (so to pray for good luck).  There seems to be less slips tied compared to new year days, but still there was a lot.  I think, "fortune" is uncontrollable, yet it is approachable if you prepare (work hard) and, fortune slip is a guide for your direction of "fortune".

知識があるより、ひらめきのある人になりたい。

Brain researcher, Dr. Mogi suggests that brain will start "default networking" when its not used.  During the hard work, brain will concentrate on what its body is doing.  During the break time, when people are daydreaming, or doing something else, "default networking" connects memories and become a great idea, which is called a "serendipity".
