Chello from an Orchestra

A lamp from Wagon Wheel Furniture House in Long Island NY, has been lighting our writing desk for over 50 years. Every time I take a look at ths lamp, and other maple tree furnitures, it reminds me of my lovely life with Grand-pa and Grand-ma, who ran the store.

Music notes are history of mom's hard work performing and teaching music through piano💛

これ、サイコーのキャッチだ！考えた人、知りたかったけど、入店ならず…。
This white letter on a black board says, "There ain't nothing to eat back home!".... The message suggests you to stop and eat/drink here. This is such a great catch I wonder who wrote it.

Snow 雪 Yuki

昨夜、東京都心の積雪は2cmという報道だったけど、積もった雪は5cmはあったでしょう。雪かきを初めてスタートに戻ると、もう地面は真っ白。昼にはなくなっちゃうんだろうな～。

NEWS told us there was an inch of snow last night, but to me, it looked like there were 2. Started shoving snow last night made me think was an endless work. Yet, Tokyo snow may not last one day.

OLD 学校

昭和の古きよき遊び場って感じ。　まるでビルの一部を滑り台に作り直したかのよう。　手すり以外全部コンクリで作られている滑り台。　懐かしい感じがする。
Is this a slide or part of a building made into a slide? The whole thing except the handle bar is made with concrete....  Haven't we seen these concrete made slides back in the good old Showa era?

Funky 三輪車

三輪車って子供の乗り物だけじゃないのよね。よく、買い物のお母さん方も三輪車乗っているけど、この三輪車はお母さん向けデザインじゃないよネ～。ちょっとホットなWHEELEだなぁ。
Me thinking tricycle was wrong.  I know moms shopping grocery uses adult size tricycle, but this is definitely not for moms.  This is sure a one hot ride!

papa is 透明

グラッパのボトル。透明で中身が見えない。でも、飲めばしっかりと強い味がある。
Grappa bottle. It looks transparent from outside. But has absolute taste in side.

昨日会社の先輩に聞いた。「マージャンてよくわかんないけど、勝つための運と実力ってどんな割合？」　先輩が間髪入れず「実力は２割」と、短く答えてくれた。　残った８割の運は、その２割の実力で引き込むんだそうだ。　たった２割だが、練習なのか、勉強なのか、戦術を考え、頭を使えば、莫大な「運」を引き込める、というのは堅い話、ビジネスも一緒だな・・・。
Yesterday, I asked one of the managers. "I don't really know about Marjang, but tell me, is winning all about luck, or skill?" He than replied instantly, "you only need 20% skill". He suggests that the 80% luck has to be grabbed using that 20% skill. That theory well fits with business strategy. Learn and study to enhance your "20% skill" so to win your business maximizing that 80% luck!

マッチョ部長とマッチョ課長は何がお好きって、肉でしょ…。マッチョ課長とマッチョ部長を誘い、ホルモンへ。まぁ、マッチョ同士の会話は内容もマッチョ。筋肉のつけ方から肉の食い方まで相思相愛。しかし、このアミノ酸サワーなる酒には彼らも驚いたね。

ホバーリング虫 Hovering Insect

夏の初めに、学校の前にある植え込みの枠にふと日光浴するトンボ。　もうすぐ赤とんぼのシーズンに代わる。

A dragon fly is bathing sun on the planting fence in front of a school. Soon it will become a season for red dragon fly season, or autumn.

うん。見たことある！フランスの大統領は、記憶に残るものを作るのが好きだそうだ。　これ、解体して引っ越しができるビル・・・。外からしか見れなかった。
Novelty building! French Presidents like to build something memorable. Movable building, only I was moving and could not see what 's inside....

昭和30年トリオ Da 3 Amigos

最近入社された第二営業部のＨさんが、総務のＡさんと一生懸命プリンターを直していた。
Ｈさんは、総務のＡさんに任して席に戻った。
総務のＡさんは、プリンターが直ったことを第一営業部のベテランＹさんにプリンターが直ったことを報告した。
ベテランＹさんは、訳が判らなかったが、「あっ、ぁぁ～、そうですか」と生返事した。
そう、ベテランＹと新人Ｈ氏は、２人ともプリンターから出てきたほど似すぎてる。

Mr. H, who recently joined Sales Div. 2 and Mr. A, who has been with the Administration's office for quite a long time was fixing the printer.
Mr. A kindly offered Mr. H to get back to work while he fixes the machine.
Little after, Mr. A proudly reported Mr. Y from Sales Div. 1.
Although Mr. Y had no idea what Mr. A was talking about, Mr. Y acknowledged anyway leaving question marks in his mind.
it is true that Mr. H and Mr. Y look very much alike, almost like both came out of the copy machine....

スカイスクレーパー that Scrapes The Sky

やっと出てきた村。　何の小屋かわからないが、都市でも郊外でも落書きは大流行…。　しかし、この辺で空に刺さるのは大きな木か電柱だけ。　のどかでいいねぇ♬
Now sure what the little house behind the electric pole is for, but not only in cities, but in rural areas, graffiti is so popular. BTW, the only things that scrapes the sky is either a tall tree or electric poles....

果てしなく ALLlllLlLLLL The way

ドイツもフランスも、郊外のハイウェイも果てしないが、この景色がなんといっても果てしない…（２時間走ってもこんな感じ）。　この辺に住んでる人たちは、どこでお買いものするんだろうか！？
German and French high-ways stretches so long without a town.... I wonder where these people go shopping....
